Gerrit Holleman, age 82, of St. John, IN, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 15, 2014. Beloved husband of Elaine Holleman, nee Wiers. Father of Sheryl (Andrew) Birkett, Jann (Steven) Huizenga, and the late Susan Kay Holleman. Grandfather of Robert (fiancée Katie Oostra), Daniel, Elizabeth, Russell, and Leah Birkett and Katherine, Mark and Luke Huizenga. Brother of Anna (late John) Zandstra, Bertha (late Nelson) Van Milligan, Gertrude (late Laurence) Scheeringa, Ed Holleman, John (Christine) Holleman, late Viola Holleman, late Wilma (Raymond) Veenstra, and late Egbert (Carroll) Holleman Jr. Visitation Wednesday, June 18, 2014 from 3:00 ? 8:00 p.m. at the Protestant Reformed Church (1777 E. Richton Rd. Crete, IL 60417.) Funeral services will be Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at church with services conducted by Rev. Clayton Spronk. Interment Oak Ridge Cemetery ? Lansing, IL. Mr. Holleman was a member of Crete Protestant Reformed Church, where he had served as deacon and elder.
