Missing you, Gert. I am sure you are bringing a smile to everyone in heaven as you did with us here.

Gert was a very dear lady and a good friend. She had a way of making those around her feel special and cared about. Gert was always so friendly and engaging with everyone she met and was always quick to share a laugh or smile. She was a ray of sunshine in so many people's lives. Gert will be missed dearly.

I wish to extend my deepest sympathies to Gert's entire family. I worked with Gert for several years in the 1980's at the Farmington Ave. office of the former Hartford National Bank, and I remember her fondly. She worked as a teller at the branch and truly epitomized friendly customer service. Her customers would often wait for her so they could enjoy her spirit and lively conversation. She always had a smile on her face as she greeted each customer. In later years, as a Wethersfield...

Back in the 1970's, I was a friend of Gert's daughter, Mary. Gert always treated me like family . To this day I have such fond memories of being at her house. Unfortunately I lost contact with everyone after I got married, but was pleased to find out that she lived a long life.
My deepest sympathy to the whole family.
