Not sure what to say?

Mr. Hersey was one of the best teachers at W.R.H.S.. I so enjoyed his class. Sorry for your loss. Kathy Potvin Class of 71

I was so saddened to hear of Mr Hersey's passing. He was a remarkable person. He taught me volumes, about life and about literature. I will never forget the wonderful days in his classroom. I live diliberately, because he knew about a man who knew beans, and shared that knowledge. The world is and will be a better place, for him having been here. Peace and God Bless.

As we sang for Glen yesterday and shared our thoughts about this very kind, gentle man, I have been reflecting about two words that he spoke to me upon playing of the left handed viollin for the first time since its reconstruction. He said to me, "You know Chris, this violin has such a sweet sound."

My deepest sympathies to Glen's family, although I only knew him for a few years he was a great man, he was the first to extend a welcoming hand when I moved into silverleaf and surely the glue that held this place together, he will be missed dearly. Rest in peace my friend.

Dear Marsha, David and Harold:

Both Gloria and I wish to extend our deepest sympathy to you all in your recent loss. Glen was a colleague and a good friend. Please know that you will all be in our thoughts and in our prayers.

With sincerity, Win & Gloria Sawyer

One of my favorite teachers from WRHS and of all time. I am very sorry for your loss.

I spoke with Glen afterwards during coffee hour and will be forever grateful that I was privileged to speak with him for even a few minutes just one more time. For many years, every Sunday, I would turn and look up at the choir and my eyes would meet Glen's. His face was always full of expression, his...

Very sorry to hear of Mr. Hersey's passing. As a student I knew he was a great teacher, at that young age that is all you think they are, which after reading this wonderful writeup, it's certainly what he was to his core. What a wonderful example of a life well spent. Rest in Peace
