I met Jane in 8th grade when she moved to Odessa. She lived very close and we became great friends spending much of our time at each other's homes. She was like a sister to me. I enjoyed Janie and was surprised when she asked me to take over the care of Smokie. I loved him as she did. I moved to Belize to work after he died. Janie was sharp witted and sometimes sharp tongued. I'm grateful to have known her. Susie
