Not sure what to say?

I'm shocked to hear of Nr. Armstrong passing..I was in his grade 7 class of 1980? I think it was his first year at Dallas Elementary. He had only 8 girls in his class that year. I fondly remember his spelling mistakes, and his " Souper Teecher" tshirt. Cancer is a nasty disease. RIP Mr.Armstrong..

Judy, Melanie and Jason, we have so many fond memories of our times with all of you and with Glenn. As an educator and coach he was a true professional, always encouraging students and colleagues to strive to learn and do their best. The many adventures we shared will always be remembered. Ted and Lee

Coach Glenn was a significant influence in my Junior High days at Valley. Not only in the game of football. He was approachable and easy to talk with. So committed, he would pick me and other players up at our homes for 5am(ish) weight training at Golds Gym. Thank you Coach.

So sad to hear this. My deepest sympathy to family. Glenn was a close friend through high school in White Rock and we enjoyed many good times together. Glenn was my best man at my wedding in 1971. Many touch football games together on fields in White Rock on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Memories of this gentle, kind man will always be with me. Glenn was a passionate colleague and dear friend during our many years at Valleyview. His love for football and his athletes was admirable. He would do anything to keep 'Football' alive and his efforts impacted so many young men and coaches.. The last time I spent time with Glenn was when, and because, he got me into the pool for physio after my knee replacement. I sure appreciated that advice from him. I cared, respected, and...

Coach Armstrong was a National Coaching Association , Theory and Technical Course Condustor. KenPurvis and Brian Olthuis spent the better part of a decade co - facilitating NCCP courses with Coach Armstrong. Glenn´s soft caring approach to training coaches belied the tough hard contact sport he excelled in. Many of us will remember Glenn as we move into our life´s quarters, enjoying every touchdown!

My sincerest condolences. I worked with Glenn at NorKam. He was a wonderful teacher and a great guy.

RIP Coach, your football leadership and mentorship was immeasurable whilst playing under guidance. Many many fond memories you have given me. You will always be my coach.

Very sad to hear this. He coached me at NorKam. One of the funniest stories was when we played a game at John Oliver High School in Vancouver and our dressing room got broken into and they stole my pants. Yes you heard correctly. So now I have to go home on the bus in my underwear but Coach Armstrong had an extra pair of shorts but they were too small for me so he took off his pants and gave them to me to wear. The pants just barely fit me as they were skin tight but better than nothing. So I...
