Not sure what to say?

I was blessed to be in one of Glenn´s workshops at St James BC in Spencer Okla. 1990? But just this morning in my prayer time did the Lord bring to mind "The Lord is in His Holy Temple" Praise God for the gifted Glenn Burleigh. My deepest condolences. .

We were "his" trio, Gina, Brenda and Myrna - Trinity Trio of Dallas, Texas. He told us that he had never considered his music for small groups until he heard us sing "Faithful Over a Few Things." We asked him if we had his permission to sing his music on our concert trip to Kiev and Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine in 1994. That was one of our greatest joys when Glenn said, "Yes." Whenever he came to Dallas, he would feature us in whichever venue where he was sharing his wonder, Godsent music. ...

In 2006, he led a gospel workshop in San Antonio at Lackland Air Force Base the I participated in. I was able get CD and prints of several of his songs that I used to enrich the service at my church and for my own use when I needed to be motivated or spiritually uplifted. The gospel workshop ended up being transformational and helped in many ways beyond the original expectation.

Happy Heavenly Birthday Glenn. I miss you tremendously!

Dr. Burleigh was my instructor at LeMoyne Owen College in Memphis, Tn. He often told me how talented I was and would call me to sing on his Concerts in Memphis, especially, the Christmas Concert at Metropolitan Baptist Church next to The college. He and I use to go eat at the Cupboard restaurant after our 5:30 class and discuss music. I can truly say, He was a great friend and an incredible mentor, I will remember him forever, and thank GOD everyday for letting him cross my path, and share...

GLEN WAS COMING TO LAFAYETTE LA TO BE OUR (THE ECUMENICAL CHOIR) GUEST AT OUR 2007 PRESENTATION OF THE BORN TO DIE CHRISTMAS CANTATA ON THE WEDNESDAY AFTER HIS DEATH' OUR CHOIR LOVED HIS CHRISTMAS AND EASTER CANTATA. HE IS VERY MISSED. WE STILL PERFORM HIS CANTATAS IN LAFAYETTE.

Glenn Burleigh was an extraordinary musical creator. His skillful talent caused my eyes to water and my spirit to rise. I sang the Cantata's he wrote for many years and even initiated the use of the Good Friday Cantata " Let God Arise" which is still sung yearly after 15 years. I am grateful to have met and known and experience this wonderful music! Greatness is always remembered! A Soprano singing in the Chicago Metropolitan area.
