I just thought those of you that don't have a recent photo of Doug might like to see this. This was taken at Ben's Graduation, His oldest Grandchild

George and I would would like to express our deepest sympathy to the Cox family during this very difficult and sad time. We had the pleasure of photographing some Cox family weddings and we know what a very nice family you are. You are in our thoughts and prayers. May God hold you in the palm of His hand until you all meet again.

I had the pleasure of meeting Doug when I was preping our bus about 2 weeks prior to the race. I was introduced to him when he asked for help to unload some supplies he used to paint his bus. From that point on I saw him several times at the track and could'nt resist shooting the breeze with him learning several things about his life. He told me about his Mickey Mouse collection and how he had to have his "mouse ears" on his bus. He also helped me find my wifes wedding ring that she lost...

I am Doug's niece, and God-daughter. In thinking about Doug's death, I have to find comfort knowing that he died doing what he loved. I think the Doug I will remember is the one who was always up waiting for two highschool girls who were late coming back from a football game...that terrifying look he had, but somehow...under it...THE GRIN. Now that I am an adult and a parent, I know his magic well...he was a dad when mine was not there, and he will always have a place as "dad" in my heart. ...

Hey i just wanted to thank all the people who supported us through all of our troubles
his granddaughter

As Doug's Son I would like to Thank ALL of you from the Family for your kind words and prayers. Doug loved life and everyone that he came in contact with knew it. He is at Peace now, no longer with us in body but his SPIRIT will live on in everyone he touched. God Bless all of you and again Thank You from the Family.

Mom told me about Doug and I wanted to pass on my condolences. I have many fond memories of Doug from when I would visit Aunt Ginny , one of his neighbors and good friends. My love and prayers go out to all of you. Take care, Robin
