Not sure what to say?

Martha and family, I am terribly sorry for your loss. I'm glad I ran into him at dinner last summer. I thank you for the donations to the DAV as I am Past State Commander. Unfortunately I am leaving for DC at
10:00AM to visit the wounded at Bethesda and Walter Reed and can't make the wake. I'll miss him.

Dear Martha, Ed and I were saddened to read of Gordie's passing. We go back many yrs to RLHS. I am so pleased we had the chance to be in your company (a few yrs ago)when you people were visiting Ruth and Bill.I will hold that memory close to my heart. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. May God bless you all.

Martha,
My sincere sympathy to you and the family. I will never forget Gordy and what he did for me and men like me. When I had a problem, I went to Gordy because of his example. He picked me up for 90 straight days and took me to meetings whether I wanted to go or not and stayed close to me for two years after until I moved away.. As a result of his care and concern I celebrated 28 years in March. He will always be my sponsor and if I know him at all, he is trying to pave the way...

To the Edwards Family,

I go all the way back to Harvey Hubbell with Gordie and then was with him as a fellow police officer in Fairfield.

He was a great guy and a pleasure to work with. You have my sincere sympathy.
