Gordon was my "boss" and I was his office manager and head legal secretary for 10 years - but - more than that we were friends. Many fond (and funny) memories of office parties in the penthouse at 1299 Ocean Ave. (and elsewhere) for birthdays and holidays. We kept in touch after I moved out of CA (the Northridge quake did it for me!) and he visited me when I lived in Santa Fe, NM. On one of his trips to Taihiti, Gordon was kind enough to ask me if I wanted anything from there. I said to him that I would love to have some sand for my collection. He laughed and said, "you're kidding" I promptly showed him my collection of the many samples of sand and dirt that friends and others have brought me back from their journeys and I explained that it reminded it me that we are but a grain of dirt in this world from every walk of life.
