I worked with Grant for about one year in 2017. Grant and I never met, but we talked on the phone almost every day. I always appreciated my conversations with Grant, and remember him as a sharp, professional, hard working man. I did not know Grant well, but I always enjoyed and appreciated my conversations with him. I was saddened to hear of his son, and I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing.

I became a close friend to Grants Aunt Stephanie in junior high school, and became friends with Grants mother, Sue, who was two years older, in high school. In 1969, I took the same path as Sue and Mike to the University of Illinois in Champaign, where Grant was born. I remember him as an adorable tow-head, full of wonder, imagination, and enough energy to out last us all.
