A year has passed and I still am at a loss for words. You are a large part of my favorite childhood memories. When I heard of your passing I thought I had lost a longtime friend. What I have come to realize is I have not lost a friend. You live on in my memories and I think of you often and the crazy things we did as kids. Rest In Peace my friend.

You are a kind spirit, and our neighborhood loved having you at our parties. Say "hello" to Jeff Hensley up there. Enjoy a bonfire in the sky for all of us.

As a neighbor, I didn't know Graydon well, but he certainly had a sweet presence and a delightful smile. There is a sadness around here now that he's gone. Many blessings to him and his loved ones as he journeys on.

So grateful to have had you in my life even if it was only for a short time. I will think of you often and I will see you again, my friend. May your new wings carry you far.

Your leaving has hit me hard. The late night chats and special attention are just want I needed. You were a loving gentleman. I admire you for your humor, intelligence, and insights. You left much, much too soon but I am so very proud that I was your friend. I love you, my brother.

Your leaving has hit me harder than any other person that I can remember. You were there for me unknowingly keeping me company when I needed it most. The late night chats and humor, and wisdom, the connection, and love are more than I expected. You are truly one of a kind, and you left much, much too soon. I love you, my brother.

I miss you Grass Hopper. It was a blessing for me that even though we didn't hang out in school we eventually connected in our later years and became the best of friends. God knew what he was doing putting you in my path. You really changed my life, even if you didn't realize it. I'm already missing our long middle of the night chats on Facebook. Now who is going to get my obscure literary references? You always got them!
Friends like you are hard to come by and I will always feel the loss of you. But, Friends forever you said! I have it in writing. Save me a seat up there!
Love you Pal

It has been many years since room 3 at Morro Elementary. You were only six then, a bit shy but still with that ready smile. We lived only a few blocks from each other so it was fun watching you grow those early years. A teacher always hurts inside when one of her former students is taken and much too young I might add. Rest in peace Graydon.

God must have needed a good plumber to call you home so soon. We never hung out in high school but became friends on Facebook, I'm going to miss your humor and friendship..The driving videos, the cave and your random videos of MB..Say hi to Doug and keep a light on in the cave..Till we fight zombies again...

Graydon and I once shared a common dream. We saw and felt many things in the same light, humor and drive; We both joked about wanting to be behind the wheel of Johnny's Camaro. Graydon's generosity of spirit was infectious, and I have many great moments in our relationship that are indelible and was proud to have him as a friend and partner.
Rest easy Graydon, start her up, put it in gear, arm up on the back of the seat, and take that Camaro out for the long drive; Johnny won't mind. Fare Well.
