HAMILTON, Ill. -- Gregg Golemo, 65, of Hamilton, passed away just after 4 a.m. Monday (April 14, 2014) in St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

Going to see him at his home in Chicago and meeting his family was an experience I´ll never forget-so far away from my Southern rural upbringing, full of good food and great humor. His memory will always be a point of light for me. My condolences to all his family.

I knew Greg to be a great guy. I enjoyed serving with him on the Girl Scout Council Board of Directors and visiting with him at Boy Scout activities. He was a true Scouter and a friend to all. We shall miss him but remember him always.
