We were both stunned and deeply saddened to hear about Greg. While I don't know if you'll see this message, you are all in our thoughts and prayers. May God hold comfort and guide you.

We had no idea until this past weekend when we talked to the Basnights.

John, Diane, Brenton, and Jack I could not even imagine the pain you are going through at this moment. Greg was an amazing individual with a heart so big. His eyes were captivativing and his smile was one that will never be forgotten. Not only did Greg touch my life, but I know he captivated so many others in the Matthews area and I can not wait until I can see his humbling face once again. My prayers are with all of you, and I hope through this tribulations you will never forget the strength...
