Guadalupe Benavides Obituary
Guadalupe is preceded in death by his parents Ricardo and Rafaela Benavides, brother Carlos Benavides and sister Olga Cavazos.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving and caring wife of 63 years, Dora Benavides; sons Roberto and Jaime Benavides and step-son David Gamboa whom he loved as his own. Daughters Elvia (Juan) Salazar from The Colony, Texas; Leticia Benavides, Yolanda B. (Robert) Maldonado from Homestead, Florida; and Arlene (David) Longoria from Houston, Texas.
His brother Rafael (Mary) Benavides from Mesa, Arizona and sisters Librada (Alejandro) Galvan, Estefana Abete, Silvia (Roy) Moran all from Brownsville, Texas; Gloria (David) Rubio from Tolleson, Arizona and Rosalinda (Jerry) Sanford from Sioux City, lowa; 17 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family is grateful and very appreciative to Anita Garcia and her son Steven for the loving care given to "Lupe" during the very difficult days of his illness.
Visitation will begin Sunday, January 10, 2021 from 1:00 pm to 9 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. Chapel Service will be held Monday, January 11, 2021 at 11:00 am followed by a burial at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 McDavitt Blvd., Brownsville, TX., 956-541-5400, Dignity Memorial Provider.
