Not sure what to say?

Dear Cindy and Family,

I am so sorry to learn of Gus' passing. I found him charming and had fun talking to him. I am glad I had the opportunity to meet him and know him, even for this short time. Love, Sally Kershisnik

Gus taught me a lot of things while we were in the National Guard together. We had a lot of fun, usually at the expense of others. Gus was always willing to help others and would do anything he could to help. Gus would bring a joke to drill Saturday morning that his wife would share from her work as he was trying to wake up and get ready for drill weekend.

It was a pleasure working with Gus at TxDOT. I learned a lot about two-way radio systems from Gus when he was at the TxDOT Brownwood and El Paso TxDOT District Offices.
I enjoyed the twinkle in his eyes and loved some of the fun stuff that he would pull off.

God Speed Gus

I'm so sad to hear that Gus passed away. He was such a kind and friendly man. I worked with Gus in Austin on the I-183A Toll Road Project for HNTB in 2005 and 2006. I continued to receive email from him for years after I left Texas. He just wanted to say hi. He was like that. I don't think he ever met anyone he didn't like or try to reach out to. The world lost a truely lovely man.

Gus, in the short two years I've known you, it was very enjoyable and a privilege to work with you. You always saw the glass half full. It was a wonderful ride. My prayers are with you and your loved ones.

Gus, you will be surely missed. For the brief time we worked together in Austin; you had stories and you made us laugh a whole lot. I pray you rest in perfect peace and you are smiling all the way to be with the Lord.

Thanks Gus for the memories on the train of life, it was a good ride

Goodbye Gus. You were a great friend and an excellent engineer. You will be missed in both areas.

I had the privilage of being with Gus and David in some of the final hours at Huntsman. Both of you have forever left an imprint on my heart. I am forever grateful for the brief moment I got to know you both. Sincerely, Raiya Iverson - CNA@Huntsman Cancer Hospital
