Not sure what to say?

Mr. Brown was shopping at SAM'S and I was coming off break when I saw him. I shared that my son was going to go into the SeaBees and he said they were a good outfit to serve in. I never got the chance to tell him that my son didn't become a SeaBee but a reserve Marine. I think he would have had a good laugh. Peace.

I was his student at PVCC '95-'96 for Computer Information Systems and totally enjoyed his class. I even wrote a song for him ("Have you seen my files Mr. Brown ? Do you know how long I've been loading them ? I would like to be done by 5pm, Mr. Brown !) which I had to sign on the upper right hand corner. After that class he became my assigned PVCC advisor until I graduated in '98. I am sorry that I didn't get to tell him that my only son has become a Marine. It would have been a good laugh...

Dotty, My sincere sympathy. Bill (a fellow Marine) and I met you and Larry on a cruise to South America. Just now in going through some papers and photos I found a letter written several years ago from a classmate of Larry's in high school in Columbia SC...Jean was a senior and Larry was a freshman but he had a car and gave some of the students a ride to school instead of their taking the bus. Jean Anderson McDuffie enclosed a photograph of Larry from a yearbook. Larry was an amazing...

Larry Brown introduced me to Data Processing at PVCC. He was a dedicated knowledgeable teacher and very patient. Please accept my condolences.

Our deepest sympathy and prayers to you, the Brown family. Also, our appreciation for all he did for all of us and the world through his work and service.

The first time I met Guy was at the Albemarle County Fair, in the early 1990's, when he was introducing people to computers. An extraordinary man who helped so many young people in our community participate in the technology revolution. Sending our heartfelt condolences to Steve, Dotty, and the whole family.

My sympathy and prayers are with the family of the late Mr. Guy Larry Brown. Mr. Brown was a very nice man, and I enjoyed having him as an instructor and supervisor at PVCC. He was easy person to communicate with and always had a smile. I enjoyed working in the "networked" microcomputer (PC) lab with the Fourteen PCs which were connected to a host computer and printer which Mr. Brown established, as I worked under PVCC Work Study Program. Mr. Brown directed me in buying my first computer...

Dottie, you may remember we work together at Highland. From reading Larry´s obituary we could see he was a gifted and giving man! My sympathies to you and your family
