He was a member of the Jackson Heights United Methodist Church. He enjoyed boating, skiing, reading and studying history. His greatest enjoyment,  and what brought a smile to his face,  was the time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Hal leaves behind a son, Robert (Michelle) Davis, Clarks Hill and a daughter, Jennifer (Wade) Garriott, Odell; six sisters, Barbara (Larry) Wood, Carmel, IN; Reva (Ed) Page, Odell; Janet VanBuskirk, Lafayette; Donna (Joe) Loveridge, Richardson, TX; Brenda (Tony) Cunningham, West Point and Susan (Jerry) Stewart, Romney; nine grandchildren, Karley (Justin) Gurk, Brandon (Jessica) Davis, Brittney (Josh) Struck and Wyatt Davis; Cole, Clint, Cline, Cale and Maeley Garriott; five great-grandchildren, Caroline, Ben, Logan, Clayton and Alexa; several nieces and nephews. Not sure what to say?

Saddened to read this- Great family history - not only were we classmates at SW, but our mothers were both school nurses for TSC. Prayers for his families,

A staple in the community, known and respected by many, such a true gentleman. You will be greatly missed.
Diane will miss the hello wave as we passed often while on my bus route on 800 south. David Weaver will miss, an alumni from Jackson and Southwestern school days.

Our deepest condolences to the Davis family. May God hold Hal in the palm of His hands and grant him eternal rest.

It's always sad to see a Davis family member and neighbor from the Odell Community to pass. Our condolences are sent to the family.

I met the Davis family through Diane, when she was a secretary at Mintonye. We both started to work there the same year. Up until Diane's death, I don't think I ever knew a more family-oriented couple and I know that Hal continued the tradition. My heart goes out to all of you that Hal and Diane have left behind, but I hope the wonderful memories you have of them will help you get through this tough time. God bless.

So sorry to hear this. My deepest condolences. Hal was groomsman at Bill and I's wedding! Prayers to the family. May God comfort and give you strength as you share beautiful memories. May you laugh, and cherish every memory. He will be greatly missed.

So very sorry to hear of Hal’s passing. Good neighbor, and went all through school with Hal. Love and prayers to his whole extended family

Bob and family, so sorry to hear of Hal's passing. May God comfort you during this difficult time.
