A staple in the community, known and respected by many, such a true gentleman. You will be greatly missed.
Diane will miss the hello wave as we passed often while on my bus route on 800 south. David Weaver will miss, an alumni from Jackson and Southwestern school days.

I met the Davis family through Diane, when she was a secretary at Mintonye. We both started to work there the same year. Up until Diane's death, I don't think I ever knew a more family-oriented couple and I know that Hal continued the tradition. My heart goes out to all of you that Hal and Diane have left behind, but I hope the wonderful memories you have of them will help you get through this tough time. God bless.

I remember Hal & his sisters from Jackson school. We rode Cecil Horns' bus. Haven't seen him since then but he must have turned out to be a very nice person, which I knew he would.....he always treated everyone well. Peace be with you.

Diane and Hal were very special to me. They were always there when life was tough and celebrated with me when I was successful. After Diane passed away, I would call Hal on certain occasions and we would talk for a while. Hal loved his family very much and truly enjoyed being around his children and grandchildren. He always knew what was happening in their lives and spoke proudly of their achievements. Hal always had a kind word and a good joke to share. I will really miss our conversations, his generous advice, and his sense of humor. I will always remember him calling me "kid" and the stories he shared. Dave and I are sharing the sadness of his loss with Jenny and Bob, as well as their families.
