My Friend & Mentor Mr. Porter _Terrence Shelby

Margaret, we remember you and Hal with fondness from your teaching days in Hale Center. We still live, actually a few blocks from where you all lived. Gary was the Ag teacher at the time. You are in our thoughts and prayers. We found out about Hal's passing through Judy Bowman. God Bless

Margret, I am so sorry for your loss, Hal was such a blessing to me and all that knew him. He had such a great influence on the kids that he coached and taught. He gave me my first job, and was such a great mentor to me. He was truly a great man, and will be missed.

Randy Johnson, San Antonio, Texas

Margaret, I just learned of Hal's passing, and am praying for you and your family in this time of great loss. Hal was such a great friend and teammate, and colleague. I always loved visiting with him at meetings, job fairs etc. One always felt better after visiting with Hal, no matter how briefly.

Hal was such a sweet and kind man. Our family was saddened to hear the new. We send our prayers and love to Margaret, Katy & Kelly.

Mr. Porter spoke with passion and humor sharing with us his own personal walk with the Lord. Clearly his greatest gift was as an educator, but he also benefitted many others spreading God's word. I am honored to have met him.

Coach porter was a wonderful teacher. He had such a great sense of humor and kept us all in line. Hamlin was better for having him.

Margaret, I am so sorry about Mr. Porter. He was so good to me and mine. You and yours will be in my thoughts and prayers. May he rest in peace and may you find comfort in your friends and family.
