I did not know Haley personally. I spoke with her just a few times on the phone as Lilja was one of my customers. She really made an impression on me though - she definitely had a special kindness and gentleness that was apparent even to people she never met face to face. I have thought of her many times since the accident and just wanted to let her family know that this lovely young lady is missed even by people she had never "met". I know the void left in your lives is unbearable at times...

Haley, I didn't know you, but I know your stepmom, Irene - I spent two long grueling years with her at nursing school and I know your Dad. I was shocked when I heard of your accident. And I cried for your parents, your siblings, your family. They are in pain that you are not around anymore, and suffer the seeming futility of your death. But you, dear sweet Haley, are just fine. We are all going to die, we just don't talk about it in this culture. And it's not just old people who die. ...
