Not sure what to say?

Pops, we felt your presence at last night's Celebration of Life and shared many fond memories of time spent with you. Your grand- and great-grandchildren had a lot of fun together, and we had some outstanding food from Serrano's, in your honor, of course. We miss you but know you are in a much better place now.
Love you to the moon and back, times three!

Chris

Pops, I had lunch at Applebee's yesterday, sat in "our" booth, and was served by our favorite waitress, Julia. She said she had wondered where we had gone and had been hoping and praying for the best for Grams and you. She and I shared tears of remembrance of what a kind and gentle man you were. She said things will never be the same without you, and I told her that was exactly right. We will carry on with our lives, but things will definitely never be the same again.

Pops,

I wanted to say thank you…

Thank you for letting me walk on your feet as a young child.

Thank you for teaching me how to shoot a jump shot as a boy.

Thank you for teaching me the value of a dollar, or should I say the value of a two dollar bill as a teenager.

Thank you for inspiring me to be the man that I am today. I can only hope to be as great a man as you.

I love you and miss you so much but I will see you again when...

Pops where do I even begin, were all going to miss you dearly, but I’m just so happy that your finally at peace and in heaven where your going to be happier, and not in pain anymore, that’s all i wanted was to know that you weren't in pain. Obviously some of us its hard to accept that because its hard letting someone go that’s so close to you, but at the same time its not right that we think of our self’s and what we want rather what’s best for u
Much love ,Brianna Vanderford
