Pops, we felt your presence at last night's Celebration of Life and shared many fond memories of time spent with you. Your grand- and great-grandchildren had a lot of fun together, and we had some outstanding food from Serrano's, in your honor, of course. We miss you but know you are in a much better place now.
Love you to the moon and back, times three!

Pops, I had lunch at Applebee's yesterday, sat in "our" booth, and was served by our favorite waitress, Julia. She said she had wondered where we had gone and had been hoping and praying for the best for Grams and you. She and I shared tears of remembrance of what a kind and gentle man you were. She said things will never be the same without you, and I told her that was exactly right. We will carry on with our lives, but things will definitely never be the same again.
I can't reach your "kitthing thpot" on the top of your head anymore. I hope, however, that you can still feel me squeezing your hand. We miss you terribly.

Pops,
I wanted to say thank you…
Thank you for letting me walk on your feet as a young child.
Thank you for teaching me how to shoot a jump shot as a boy.
Thank you for teaching me the value of a dollar, or should I say the value of a two dollar bill as a teenager.
Thank you for inspiring me to be the man that I am today. I can only hope to be as great a man as you.
I love you and miss you so much but I will see you again when I get there.
Love J dot J dot

Pops where do I even begin, were all going to miss you dearly, but I’m just so happy that your finally at peace and in heaven where your going to be happier, and not in pain anymore, that’s all i wanted was to know that you weren't in pain. Obviously some of us its hard to accept that because its hard letting someone go that’s so close to you, but at the same time its not right that we think of our self’s and what we want rather what’s best for u

Pops, I have never known anyone who worked as hard as you did for their family. Know that your words of wisdom have been passed down as I can see so much of you in JJ. He is now the hardest worker I know and as I watch him striving to become a great man like you, I will smile knowing you are looking down at him with pride. You will always be in our hearts.

Pops, I've had five days of mourning, and the pain is not getting any better. Those who know and love me know that a huge piece of me went to Heaven when you did. I know that you would not want me to suffer, but that is easier said than done. I am happy that you are no longer sick or in pain, but the finality of your being gone hits me at least once a day. I think of you when I see your favorite treats in the grocery store, your favorite foods on the menu in restaurants. I watched a wonderful movie today which I know you would have loved. All of these things are a reassurance that you will always be with me. I wish, however, that I could have one more chance to lean down and give you a gentle kiss on your forehead. Just one more chance ... I love you SO much.

Uncle Harland,

Chris, my sympathy and prayers are with you and family in this time of sorrow. In all the years I've know you, I wish I would have meant this wonderful man that you had so much love for and adored. May your heart be filled with memories of joyful times spent with him, there he will live, alive, well and so full of life. He's pains are no more, now he walks with you, loving and sharing your life as you speak to him heart to heart. My angels bring you strength, guidance, peace and restful sleep; know that your father is with God watching over you, loving you ‘more' then you can imagine. - Isabel N.

Pops, I miss you, but I know you are with me in your healthy renewed spirit.
Please say hello and give lots of hugs to our friends and relatives that have passed over and are there to greet and surround you with their love.
Fond memories are being shared amongst us now and will continue in the future - and especially with your grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren.
We all love you and miss you,
Linda

Pops, I miss you terribly, and it has only been three days. My final goodbye was terribly sad, in spite of the fact that I knew you had gone to a better place where there will be no more pain.
I will always cherish the memory of Valentine's Day this year, when Grams and I had lunch with you and brought you the fruitcake you had been craving. Such a simple request brought you so much joy! That was the last day you were able to communicate with us.
I had 59 years with you. There were ups and downs for all of us, but we could always count on you to be there for us, to help out in any way you could.
You were a wonderful father to me, besides being the best father figure that Shaun could ever have hoped for.
Like you told me one day in the hospital, "See you later -- somewhere." I look forward to the day when we will meet again. Meanwhile, have fun playing with your precious dog, Sandy. You no longer have pain, so you can play fetch and hide and seek with him again. Sandy loved you so much, as did your entire family. Please tell Grandma Theina that I love her, too.

Pops you will be missed more than anyone can know. Our thoughts are with you every second of the day. You worked so hard your entire life to make sure everyone around you was happy. You did this all unselfishly and wanted the best for us all. The many lessons in life you tought me will not be forgotten and passed on to my children. I love you Pops....shaun
