Harold Anderson Obituary

Harold "Hal" Anderson

Pembroke, NH — Harold Curtis Anderson, 81, passed on January 27, 2022, at Granite VNA's Hospice House in Concord.

Hal was born on July 15, 1940, to the late Gertrude (Campbell) Anderson and Hollis Morton Anderson, Sr. at the family home in Danville, NH.

Harold's unwavering work ethic began as a young boy and culminated in a 32-year career in the insurance industry with John Hancock Financial. He served as Agency Manager in Concord from 1982 until his retirement in 2001.

Hal took up the game of golf in 1990 at the age of 50 and was a member of the Concord Country Club for more than 30 years. He loved the game, enjoyed playing in the men's league, and was a patient teacher to his daughters. Over the years, Hal also enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing cards, and snowmobiling. What he enjoyed most about life was spending it with his family, and he especially loved laughing, joking, and playing with his four grandchildren.

Harold is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Kathleen (Jeans) Anderson of Pembroke; his daughters Laura Jean (Anderson) Finnegan and her husband John Jr. of Penacook; Patricia Lynn (Anderson) Soule and her husband Matthew of Manchester; his sister Charlotte George of Kingston; brother Arthur Anderson and sister-in-law Karen of Atkinson; his four grandchildren Briana Lee (Finnegan) Acone and husband Patrick of Concord; John Michael Finnegan, III and wife Haley of Concord; Judith Magdalene Soule and Christina Webster Soule both of Manchester; and his two great grandchildren, Collins Lee Finnegan, and Rory Finnegan Acone, as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

In addition to his parents, Harold is predeceased by his daughter Judith Lee Anderson, his sister Marlene Hannigan, and brother Hollis Anderson Jr.

At the request of the family, services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Hal Anderson to the Granite VNA Hospice House where the love, care, and compassion for Hal and his family will be forever cherished.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Bennett Funeral Home of Concord. Fond Memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.Bennettfuneral.com for the Anderson family.
