I was an art student at UVM back in the 1970s and bought what supplies I could afford at Boutliers. Mr. Boutlier (Hal) was so helpful to me as to my choices of supplies, gave me art advice and even discounts if I didn't have exactly enough cash.

I continued to do business with him for many years to follow. I am now age 63 but still remember his kindness and wealth of knowledge about art and the supplies. He always steered me in the right direction. He was a wonderful and...

I was an art student at UVM back in the 1970s and Mr. Boutilier was so helpful to me in buying products, giving advice and even giving me price breaks. He was a wonderful and nice man and I did business with him for many years afterwards. I am now 63 and still remember his kindness; he will be missed.

I knew Hal from 1970, mainly from contact in the store. But his employees were always happy and comfortable there, reflecting a considerate boss. They liked him, and I did, too.
