Not sure what to say?

I loved Harold. I worked for him in the early 80's and he is the best boss I ever had. We played tennis together for over 3 decades with Harold hitting a great shot saying: "Marc...your seeing 30 years ago". He will always be etched in my memory and with happiness :)

I had the opportunity to meet Mr. Carpenter, when bidding out some work. His straight talk and great personality will always be fondly remembered.

Hello my dear cousins,
I am so sorry for the loss of Harold. Your dad was my favorite uncle! I simply adored him . . . . always!!! He was still living at home when I was a little kid and we (my sister Kristen and cousin Pat Grady) had so much fun with him. One of my favorite memories was going to our grandparent's house on Sunday morning before church. Grandma gave me the job of waking him up. I'd run up to his room and jump on him - then the game was on!! I couldn't say my "R's" so I...

My Carpenter Cousins,
What a sweet man we've lost. You are all in my prayers. Lois, I will forever be grateful to you for getting Uncle Harold to Papa's 90th birthday party almost two years ago. Those two brothers were so delighted to see each other! You've been an awesome daughter and an incredibly adept caregiver. Your dad, like mine, is reunited with his family in heaven.
Love, comfort & blessings.

I have many fond memories of Mr. Carpenter and his family. My deepest sympathies.

Dear Carpenter Family,
Our deepest sympathy for your loss. Harold was a great guy. I will never forget getting our garage door repaired many times & he knew exactly what year he put it in & who we were & how long we lived at our home & our parents & that I grew up in Berlin & on & on....it amazed me how incredible his mind was & so funny & so many stories, loved chatting with him...he always made me smile! What a wonderful father you had! He was one-of-a-kind guy & will be missed....

Condolences to the Carpenter Family. Harold was truly 'one of a kind!' Growing up, there was never a dull moment at your house~ many, many, fun memories! Jim really enjoyed him & his stories/jokes when he did our garage doors. A witty, kind, & generous man. He touched many lives,& glad I was one of them! Memories bring a smile to my face. (Mary, I'm sure you know my favorites!) The world lost a special, unique man, but I have a feeling there's a lot of singing & joking in Heaven! Wishing you...

Teri and family:

Your father certainly was a blessing to you all and to many others by the sound of the nice writeup, which probably doesn't do justice to the true impact he made in this world.

Our warmest thoughts and prayers are with you.

A beautiful obituary for a man who was a good husband and a good father. . Harold and Betty were fortunate to have had ten children... His left a legacy of humor, the worth of hard work and love for family. , I am so sorry for your loss.
