J. Henry Stuhr Mount Pleasant Chapel Obituary

Harold Anthony "Mick" Mackey had the gift of a generous heart that he opened fully to those around him. That big heart gave out and beat its last on the evening of June 10, 2021 in Charleston, South Carolina. Our world has lost some of its luster without him in it. Maya Angelou said, "People...

Not sure what to say?

Nancy and Alex
Frank and I are thinking of you during this difficult. I understand that Mom was also able to speak to you the other day. We are sorry that we can not be with you during the service, but you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Love you,
Angie Burnett Kelly

Nancy, Charlie and I send you and your family our sincere sympathy in the loss of your dear husband, our colleague and friend Harold. Though we have not kept in touch over these passing years, please know we are thinking of you, sending prayers of healing comfort and shall always remember those ETV days when we all shared friendship and produced good work. Take care.

I knew and worked with Harold at SCETV when I was there in the 70s. He had a wry sense of humor and a 'take' on life that I found irresistable. I always enjoyed my time with him. I actually did not know he married Nancy Burnett, who I also knew from my time there, and I am so happy that they found each other and spent their lives together. To all of his family, I wish you peace and comfort during this difficult time. Please know that I am thinking about your family and sending love and...

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.

Harold was my "go to guy" for all things IS and we quickly became familiar with each others phone numbers as I tend to be quite needy when it comes to technology. This he picked up on right away but a quick text his way was always responded to with a good morning and a smiley face. He was there to help me even when I would wake him up at 6:45 in the morning with a call or text. Thank you, Harold, for your patience and everything you've done for me. You will be missed. - KB

I've worked with Harold for the past nine years and more closely in the past three or four. He could always be counted on to deliver, whether it was work or a bit of dry humor. Harold was a pleasure to be around and he will be missed. condolences to friends and family.

Seeing the news of Harold´s passing hit me really hard. I first met Harold when we both worked at ETV in the early 70´s. We remained friends through the years especially when we lived just down Waterway Blvd from you on IOP. Harold was a wonderful man with a big heart and a great smile. He will be missed My condolences to you and all of Harold´s loved ones

I am so sorry about this devastating sad news. I worked with Harold at MUSC from 1999-2006. I was Mick´s wing man on supporting the DDC. I have many good memories of working with Mick. Prayers to Mick and your family. We hit it off right out of the gate when I came aboard. We both were from Gloucester, MA so, we had lots to talk about. Super nice guy who will be missed.
