Harpreet was a beautiful soul that loved her family, students & community very much. She will be missed as an angel on this Earth. May she rest in eternal peace.

She was the most amazing person I had the pleasure of meeting. She was my son’s history teacher in 7th grade and she was amazing with him. My son is autistic and she spent many hours working with him just to make sure he was successful. She even kept in touch with us even after my son graduated from middle school. I knew Mrs. Sidhu as my 7th grade history teacher and still to this day I always remember how much fun she made history and how she would always dress up as KISS.

Mrs. Sidhu is an amazing teacher who touched many, many young lives. Our family is fortunate to have been blessed by her presence, her rare grace in the face of adversity and her stoic dedication to academic rigor. Her family is in our hearts.

Mrs. Sidhu inspired me, like her teachers inspired her, to become an educator. She is hands-down one of the BEST educators in the district. My brother and I both won the teacher lottery and got to learn from her. Not only did we learn the subject-matter at hand, but also a tremendous amount of responsibility, pride, and organization. Ms. Sidhu was my daughters teacher in middle school. She loved her class and was so motivated thanks to Ms. Sidhu’s enthusiasm. She was a bright light and inspiration and is missed by students and parents alike. My sincere condolences to her family and friends.

Harpreet was such a positive influence to education and I enjoyed teaching with her at Yuba City High School. Our thoughts are with her family and she will be missed by all that knew her.

This last week we lost a dear friend and a teaching legend in Elk Grove. Harpreet Sidhu passed away on the morning of June 1 from Parkinson's disease. Even though we knew that her passing was a possibility, it has still hit our community hard.
