Harry was such a gem. Such a nice man. We loved seeing Harry and Tina when we visited my sister and brother-in-law in Glastonbury. They were the best next door neighbors! My husband Bill and I got married in my sister's living room, officiated by Tina. I did not know Harry personally, but I am close with his brother Thom and Thom’s family. We share a grandson together. I have witnessed Harry’s generosity through the years and the joy his gifts have brought to others, especially Thom and Janice’s grandsons.

Harry and I spent Christmas Eve together in 1974. We closed Tammany Hall at 6:00, cleaned the joint, and went to Colonel Mustard's for a few hours before getting to Nathan's in time for the annual Dom Perignon pouring for DC restaurant/saloon employees at midnight. Throughout the entire 8 hours we were out, we "entertained" everyone with beautiful renditions of The Christmas Song-requested or not. it was the only time before, or since, I was ever alone on Christmas Eve. My deepest sympathies for your loss. Harry was like a big brother to me. I met him in 1974 when I first moved to DC and started working at Tammany Hall. Within 6 months I had moved into the "Docks" in Arlington with Harry, Danny, Scott, Rich & Ron...what crazy fun times we had! I will never forget seeing Harry standing behind the Bar with that big smile, both hands raised dancing the night away. He could Sing & Dance for sure. Adios Harry, thanks for the memories.

My deepest condolences to the Branning family and to all of his many friends everywhere. I haven't seen Harry in decades, but he always stood out in my memory as one of the nicest most gentle souls I ever knew.
