Miss you Harry

When I´m near the ocean looking at fishing boats, ocean conditions ,I still think I got to call Harry and let him know. Hard to believe he´s gone.

Its been 15 days since you left us and i´m ready to put in writing all the wonderful things you did for me. You taught me at a very young age to fish in the ocean (my first catch I was 6), to climb mountains (at 7 yrs old we as a family hiked Mt Tam to the top), how to repel cliffs to get on the beach to clean sea urchins, to skin dive and swim with the sea lions at Stillwater Cove and Sea Ranch. To never be scarred of the unknown and to never give up. To find a job doing something that...

Saw Harry´s obit in last Sunday´s SF Chronicle. Bought his fish and abalone for many years down in Half Moon Bay. I truly honored and respected him. A real "man´s man ". No "airs". He did not care, or need, any notoriety for what he did. He just did it.
