DR. HECTOR CARLOS SABELLI

I was thinking about Dr. Sabelli today. My name is Carla Hawkins and I live in Valparaiso, IN. I became a patient of your Dad in 1989 at Midwest Neuropsychiatric Associates, in Chicago, while he was Assistant Professor at Rush University. He was my third Psychiatrist in four years. I credit him for saving my life and giving me hope for living with Bi-polar Illness. Hector was my favorite professor at the Chicago Medical School where our class awarded him Teacher of the Year. Hector and I subsequently conducted and published research and traveled to a scientific conference where we presented our data. In addition to mentoring my scientific endevours, Hector was also a friend and was a guest in our home. He was a philospher and an intellectual of the highest order. He will be missed.
