Not sure what to say?

Dear Kurt, Helene, Carole and Sister D,
I was sorry to hear about Aunt Helen. She was a really nice person. I spent most of my childhood Summers in Savannah and I remember Helen, Catherine, Gertrude and Sister D sitting at Gertrude's kitchen table laughing and carrying on. I have fond memories of Savannah when I was a kid. We lived in Atlanta, but I always considered Savannah my real home! Helen and her sisters were all nice to me and it meant a lot to me when I was growing up. My...

Dear Carole, Helene and family,

Your dear Mother took care of two generations of hungry girls in our family. She was just a sweetheart with a teriffic sense of humor. I can remember how she and my aunt Rena slung hash and laughed at Cathedral when I was a student and my daughters Angela and Dana loved her at St. Vincent's. I'm sure she is having something to do with the Banquet being prepared for her now! What a lady!! She will be missed by so many! You are all in our prayers.

Mrs. Balcom was my grandmother's best friend. They laughed together for decades and worked together at St V's. I grew up in awe of their friendship and hearing stories of how they so gracefully navigated the good and bad of life...and Lord knows there was plenty of both. I'm sure she and Marie are up there laughing and carrying on as I write this. Rest in peace.

To the Balcom Family,
Your Mom/Grandmother is/was a great lady that I first met when attending Cathedral in the 1960's. Over these past five decades, I would see her when I visited Savannah/Tybee and she would know me even if it had been one or ten years since we had last seen each other. Our greetings were always warm, and for me a touch of the nostalgic past. I will sorely miss her, my Mom, and my Dad at the American Legion on Bingo night.
Sincerely,
Larry and Melodie Brady

To the entire Balcom Family
We loved Mrs. B and will miss her. Her love and laughter. I will be praying for all of you that you might know that she is now with her beloved husbend and all who have gone before her, that she is now and forever in the loving arms of Jesus Christ our lord and savior.
