Sorry for your loss. My mother worked for her in the 1950s. Mrs Groves, Alexander then, treated us all with great respect and kindness while my mother was in her employment. The family was lovely, kind, and very down-to-earth. I was just a "youngster" then, but we loved going to the King Ranch every chance we had. My sincere condolences to the family. Helen was an incredible woman who touched countless lives. Her grit and indomitable spirit were inspiring. I was fortunate to get to know her - she will be missed!

Helenita was a true Texas woman...full of wit, fire, humor, and tenacity. She challenged all who knew her to just try to keep up! She will be sorely missed.

To all of Helen's family and beloved friends, my deepest sympathies. Helen was my friend and mentor dating back to the 1970s.

The memories I've made with Helen are eternal. There are so many of them, beginning in the late 70s forward. We hauled together, worked-out together at the YMCA, and we did whatever we could to help each other. She bought 8k acres at the end of Road End Ranch, just a few miles South of the ranch (Wills Ranch, formerly Circle W Ranch) my late husband (Connie Wills) and I built on Hwy 377 S, and raised our 2 daughters and their children.
