Helen Mahony Obituary
December 19, 1926 - July 7, 2024
Sacramento, California - Helen H. Mahony passed away peacefully in her home in Sacramento. She lived her 97 years fully she travelled extensively, was an avid golfer well into her 80's and dedicated snow skier through her 70's, as well as a dedicated volunteer at the American Cancer Society Discovery Shop. Preceding her passing was that of her husband, Don, and son, Michael. She is survived by her daughter, Anne, grand daughters Meghan and Martha Hudson, grandsons Taylor and Patrick Mahony, and many nieces and nephews. At her request, no services will be held. I have known Mrs. Mahony since 1965 when I met Anne in Junior High School and have been close ever since. She quickly became a second mother and friend. From chaperoning six 15 year old girls Easter week skiing, hosting a lovely cocktail party before our wedding rehearsal, opening her home to build the Sophmore Homecoming float and watching Miss America with us. I will miss her smile, laughter and twinkling eyes! However, all I have to do is look at Anne and see Helen. Goodbye Mrs. Mahony. Love, Robin

Helen was a joy to be around. Her spirit and sense of humor was something to look forward to. ACS Discovery Shop will miss her for sure.
