It was just today that I received a message that Helen passed in December. I was an Administrative Assistant at Connecticut College for twenty-four years. During my last ten years at the college, I worked in Harkness Chapel. After Helen retired, she took organ lessons from Dr. John Anthony. Each week before (or after) her lessons, she would come to my office in the chapel, and we would always have a lively conversation. She had the best laugh. For many years, she would contact me...

Helen was my colleague at Connecticut College, and, like many others, I loved her and respected her deeply. She was generous and brilliant, and I cherish my memories of her. Hers was a life well-lived, and an example of grace.

I always enjoyed and admired Helen's spirit and perserverence in Tai Chi class. We had interesting conversations on the times I drove her home.

Sorry for the loss of your mother but glad she lived well with spunk. I appreciated her hosting me when I visited and rides to Connecticut College.

It was a great joy to study Russian under Professor Reeve. She guided me through my Russian major and year of study abroad, and she inspired me to pursue translation as a career. I am forever thankful to her for that.
