Helen Saltsman

? Helen Saltsman passed away on November 30, 2015 at the age of 92. Born in Haverhill, Massachusetts, Helen moved to California in 1947 and lived in Studio City for over 63 years. A long-time and active member of Temple Beth Hillel, El Caballero Country Club and her Brandeis World Affairs Group, Helen was devoted to her family and many friends who will greatly miss her and lovingly remember her generosity, kindness, and bright smile. Preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Sidney ("Sam") Saltsman, and sisters Charlotte Warshaw and Barbara Krongaus, she is survived by her children Michael (Jan), Jane (Erwin), and Richard (Carolyn), grandchildren Elana, Shira (Greg) and Matt, great-grandson Sam, and step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren Alison (Sal), Tammy (Spencer), Stephanie (Robbie), and Shane. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Gerald Saltsman (Ann), sisters Gloria Mendelsohn and Mynda Siskind (Lee), and many nephews, nieces, and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thrusday, December 3, at Eden Memorial Park, Mission Hills. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Temple Beth Hillel, the Anti-Defamation League, or Foundation for the Jewish Blind.
