Helen Senitta Obituary

Senitta (nee Krenza), Helen

Helen Senitta (nee Krenza) died on February 8, 2011 at St. Cabrini Nursing Home in Dobbs Ferry, NY. She was born on November 21, 1919 to Timothy and Mary Krenza in Butler, PA. Helen attended Yonkers Public Schools and during WWII worked at Ward Leonard Electric Co. in Mt. Vernon. She also worked in the Yonkers Public Schools in the 1950's then later as a waitress at various fine dining establishments in Westchester. Helen married Lieutenant Michael Senitta on May 8, 1943 in St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church. He died on May 5, 1984. She is survived by 3 children Michael (Leona) of Yonkers, Thomas G. (Susan Puchir) of Dobbs Ferry and Paul P. of White Plains, 1 brother Martin Krenza of Highstown, NJ, 3 grandchildren Annette Senitta of Yonkers, Elaine Senitta of Yonkers and Michael John Senitta (Daniela) of New Rochelle, 1 great grandchild Charlotte Grace Senitta of New Rochelle. She was predeceased by 3 sisters Anna Juliano, Eva Krenza, Katherine Mynarski and 2 brothers Michael and William Krenza. Visiting hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Thursday 2-4 & 7-9pm, Pannakhida Service at 7:30pm. A Funeral Service Friday 9:30am in St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church, interment at Oakland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the American Alzheimer's Association 2 Jefferson Plaza Suite 103 Poughkeepsie, NY 12601-4060, or 1-800-272-3900.
