My deepest sympathy goes out to the famiy of Sister Basil.
I will never forget how kind and funny she was. She was also my children's principle at the same school I attended (Immaculate Conception) in Port Clinton, Ohio

I Sit here with tears in my eyes at the thought of my dear former teacher, Sister Basil ( Helen Stack) having passed away. She was so energetic and funny. Now, she is happily entertaining her Creator and that stops the tears, and makes me happy for her. Dear sister, dear friend, you will never be forgotten.

One usually remembers one outstanding teacher. For me it was Sister Basil at Guardian Angel elementary in Sylvania, OH. She lived her faith very visibly and cared deeply for every student. The amazing part is I do not believe she knew what an impact she had on those young lives. She only knew to give her best.
May Sister Basil rest in peace and joy with the Lord. She now knows how much she touched each of us. We will forever be grateful for her love, dedication and guidance.

The neighbor complained to Sr. Basil. She asked him if he ever played ball - to which he replied 'yes'. She then asked if the ball always landed where he wanted it to - to which he...
