My deepest sympathy goes out to the famiy of Sister Basil.
I will never forget how kind and funny she was. She was also my children's principle at the same school I attended (Immaculate Conception) in Port Clinton, Ohio

I Sit here with tears in my eyes at the thought of my dear former teacher, Sister Basil ( Helen Stack) having passed away. She was so energetic and funny. Now, she is happily entertaining her Creator and that stops the tears, and makes me happy for her. Dear sister, dear friend, you will never be forgotten.

One usually remembers one outstanding teacher. For me it was Sister Basil at Guardian Angel elementary in Sylvania, OH. She lived her faith very visibly and cared deeply for every student. The amazing part is I do not believe she knew what an impact she had on those young lives. She only knew to give her best.
May Sister Basil rest in peace and joy with the Lord. She now knows how much she touched each of us. We will forever be grateful for her love, dedication and guidance.

My deepest Sympathy on your loss. I have many fond memories of Sister M Basil when I attended St. Joe's in Sylvania many many many years ago. She was most loved by all - I remember fondly the time when she came to our defense when the baseball went into the neighbors yard (who lived next to the school). The neighbor complained to Sr. Basil. She asked him if he ever played ball - to which he replied 'yes'. She then asked if the ball always landed where he wanted it to - to which he replied 'yes'. She then said 'well let me shake the hand of Mr. Perfect'.
I remember she would always make sure that all children had a lunch. There were times when students would forget their lunch. Sr. Basil would invite them into the schools kitchen and feed them.
She made choir practice fun and lively. Yes, I have many fond memories and will always cherish and hold them close to my heart.
