Helen and I grew up together in Brownsville. She was a very accomplished lady, and extremely proud of her lovely family. I know you miss her. I regret not seeing her obituary last week. I would have attended her services to honor her life. My sincere condolences to all of you.

I will never see a caladium in bloom that I don't think of your precious mother and smile!

Helen was such a wonderful woman! Her family is a testimony to all of her great qualities. She was beautiful and so intelligent. I will miss her. Much sympathy to her family.
