Not sure what to say?

Got to know Hans at Gallop NYC late October 2018. Took this photo of his friend Bentley.
Thank you so much Hans for sharing your experiences and for your hospitality at NYC and at your home. I will never forget that voice along with that sagely smile.

Dear family, it was by chance that so many times looking for my schoolfriend and schoolmate on "Katwijk de Breul" I found the sad annunciation of his passing. I looked for him for a long time but did not know where he was living. He had no connection with the club of reunists of our school.
I was really disappointed that we never had any contact after 1960. I can imagine that you really miss such a lovely and wonderful man; i send you my deepest feelings and hope that you will able to...

Shocked to read about Hans' passing. He was my classmate at the Openluchtschool and Barlaeus, and the first crush of my life, at age 8. I have marveled reading about the wonderful, fascinating life he has led, and the many lives he must have touched. My condolences and warm wishes for family and friends. May Hans' gentle and compassionate soul rest in peace...

When our 2 daughters were living in NYC we asked Hans to keep an eye, which he did.
When our eldest daughter got married we had the wedding at Hans' club the Union Club.
Whenever we visited we had lunch or dinner with Hans; the last time was 2 years ago when I had lunch with him.
Fond memories of Hans and Barbara.
Thank you for your friendship!

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.Thank you for your friendship and advices.

In mid -July Hans, Kathleen and Steven, my husband, had a wonderful afternoon lunch . Unfortunately Barbara could not be with us. Hans was “ seemingly” in perfect health. As we sat outside sipping our wine , Hans reminisced about his time with Barbara. “ In our 21 years together we had some wonderful times.”We spoke of many things and he shared his sadness that Barbara was not with us. Hans, all of us who knew you will miss you. -Irene Leeds Habiague

How we will miss our dear friend!!
We spent many joyful, festive, memorable times together during Han’s 21 year tenure with his dear companion, Barbara Tamerin.
Han’s was distinctive, a Renaissance man, sometimes quirky, but always
engaging. He adored animals and was ever present when you needed his advice or comfort. We will not see his like again.
RIP, Dear Friend. You left us way too early.
