Dieny was my mother's treasured lifelong friend. She was special to me as well. She took the time to teach me to crochet when I was a child. She was a role model and had a great sense of humor. I will miss knowing she is just a phone call away. I know my mother was there to meet her when when the time came, she having gone just a few months before. I've met aunt Dieny a few times when she came back to Utrecht and visit, I hope she and my Mom are together again as sisters in the afterlife. My condolences to all who knew and loved her.
