Eric Michael Nies

Eric was a great guy who loved farming and farmers. I will cherish the time we spent together in High School and on some excellent adventures out west. I always knew what he would order, a hamburger steak , fries and a cup of coffee. Keeping it simple, My condolences to Shirley and Qiqi. He loved talking about you and your life together. Eric was my best friend, and we became friends during my eighth-grade year at Seneca High School in 1977. We played high school football together, I helped bale hay on the farm during the summers on his family farm after that if we had time we went fishing at a place called Charm Beach pn the Mississippi River. When I joined the Navy the twenty years I was in we kept in touch. When I was stationed in Pearl Harbor Hawaii he lived with me and my family there for two months. We took road trips...

I worked with Eric in the seed business years ago and we stayed in touch talking seed or just catching up. He always tried to do what was right for the farmer. Eric was positive and optimistic with whatever he was involved with. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
