ROSSBURG -- Henrietta Joan Smith age 85, of Rossburg passed away at 5:26 pm Monday, June 30, 2025, at her daughter's residence in Massillon.
Joan was born on March 24, 1940, in Randolph County, Indiana, to the late Ollie M. & Marjorie (Bradburn) Roberts. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jerald Smith on January 31, 2002, whom she married March 26, 1960; and her sister & brother-in-law, Loretta Michael & Lloyd Arnold.
Joan is survived by her children, Kevin & Linda Smith of Winchester, Indiana, Vicki & David Wigton of Libert Hill, Texas, April & Herman Rodriguez of Rockwall, Texas, Laura & Issa Omar of Massillon, Stacy & Jessie Cline of Rossburg, Gretchen & Craig Stanforth of Troy and Jennifer & Donald Netzley of New Madison; 21 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and her fur grandchildren; brother & sister-in-law, Anthony & Sonja Roberts of Alabama; and sister, Debra Hampshire of Celina.
Joan was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, cooking and babysitting her grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Friday, July 11, 2025, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Pastor Tony Price officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
