Not sure what to say?

He always told me to be sure my son had one egg daily. As I learn more I realize our bodies learn to make more cholesterol when we don't eat it. He was a man ahead of his time. He was very direct and I felt confident in his answers. He was one terrific human being. I'm very sorry for your loss.

I remember as a child he came to our house for "House calls"
I am 65 now and remember him to this day and the Ice cream cone vouchers he gave to us kids when given a "shot"

Very sorry to hear about Dr. Burkhardt's passing away. He was my pediatrician when I was growing up.

Dr. Burkhardt was my pediatrician, and although most of the time I dreaded the visit, he was always soft spoken,straight-forward, and compassionate. He is a person who was part of my childhood for many years, and he will be remembered fondly. My condolences to his family and friends.

We have many memories of your Dad and Mom at Pattaconk Yacht Club and of meeting up with them at Block Island. He was always on the go. Your Mom was a real trooper keeping up with his on the go traveling! May they both now be together again. Joe & Marion Caproni

Sad to hear of "Doc" Burkhardt's passing. I went to school with his son Henry, and many years later found the doctor as a fellow member of Pattaconk Yacht Club. Many fond memories of him and his boat.

So sorry for your loss.

I had the pleasure of working alongside Dr. Burkhardt when we volunteered at the American Cancer Society. He was a great inspiration. He was smart, full of energy and always smiling. We all worked hard and had a lot of fun. He and the lovely Mrs. Burkhardt were true role models and mentors. I am very sorry for your loss.
With deepest sympathy,
Mariellen Burke-Lenihan

My condolences to the family of Dr. Burkhardt, he was wonderful with my babies. I loved this Dr.
