Henry Mitchem Obituary

Henry "Bubba" Marvin Mitchem -MACON - Henry "Bubba" Marvin Mitchem, 75, died Thursday, November 10, 2011 at his residence. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Dziadul officiating. The family will meet friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. -Mr. Mitchem was a lifelong resident of Macon and served with the U. S. Army. He was retired from Robins Air Force Base. Mr. Mitchem was most at home in his garden and restoring old cars. He enjoyed trips to Biloxi and loved his faithful companion, his dog, Susie. Mr. Mitchem was preceded in death by his son, Clayton Scott Mitchem and by his sister, Betty Jo Norris. -Survivors include his sons, Stanley Mitchem and Richard Carlton Mitchem, both of Macon, Randall Keith (Robbie) Mitchem of Gray and Robert Gregory (Amy) Mitchem of Byron; his daughter, Michelle Adkins of Jones County; his grandson, Colby West of Jones County and several other grandchildren. -Visit www.snowmacon.com to express condolences. -Snow's Memorial Chapel Funeral and Cremation Services, Pio Nono Avenue has charge of arrangements.

Bubba will truly be missed by all that knew and loved him. Prayers for peace and comfort go out to all his family and friends. Even at such a sad time, I had to smile looking at the pictures accompanying his obituary because they reminded me of good times past and truly reflected his personality.
