Not sure what to say?

Love and miss Beverly and Herb. Role models with hearts of gold.

A great scoutmaster! I was in Troop 54 in the late 1950s and early 1960's with Herb Adams as scoutmaster and the late Roger Hunt as Asst. Scoutmaster. They took the scouts on every Camporee, Treasure Valley in the summer, winter camping in Winchendon, self-initiated trips and at least one canoe trip. We hiked up Mt. Washington and camped on a Ft. Ticonderoga field. Herb Adams was an exceptional, and yet humble man. I'm so glad I stopped in to see him and Beverly in the late 1980s when I...

He was a great man. One of a kind. Worcester has lost a true hero.

10/10/15, Palm Coast, FL. So very sorry
to read of your Father's death on the
internet--we could see your smile in his face. No matter how long we have
a loved one with us, it is never long
enough. Ralph & Jean Nichols

I am one of Herb Adams scouts during the 1960's. Along with Herb, Roger Hunt and Richard Sears made Troop 54 one of the most active and greatest troops in the Mohegan Council. Memories and lessons learned are never far away. Thank you Herb!

Worcester has lost another member of our "Greatest Generation" and one the will surely be missed by all that were fortunate enough to know, or know of him...Please RIP now Herb, your journey has been completed and we all know " a job well done". Thanks for all your service, both in wartime as well as in peaceful times...We have lost one of our elite, and personal hero to many, he will be missed....Semper Fi....tiv

Remember, "Death leaves a heartache that no one can heal, love leaves lives a memory no one can steal." It is good to know that death is not the end. The creator's promise, our loved ones will have the opportunity to live again, on an earth restored to paradise. "The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it." (Psalms 37:29) we look forward to seeing our love ones again in paradise, life without end. Draw close to our loving creator and his son Jesus...

Herb was a true gentleman. He had an extraordinary record of accomplishments, and a good nature, warmth, and vitality which made him a friend to those of us privileged to know him. In recent years, he was particularly generous with his time and support for the Worcester Public Schools' JROTC program, and his enthusiasm for JROTC was a key factor in making its programs so successful. He was truly a role model, for the JROTC cadets, of a life well lived - for this family, his friends, his...

What a great all around guy and leader of the greatest generation! He single handedly remodeled and landscaped the War Memorial in front of Strand's Ski Shop back in 2007! Our family is forever thankful for Herb adding my Dad's name to that neighborhood memorial. Will miss Herb at the JROTC Awards nights too! A country; city and neighborhood is ever indebted to your fine service Patriot!
