When God made you my grandfather, he was being good to me. Thank you for loving me and being there. Until we meet again, Pop.

I am unable to attend Herbs funeral, but I wanted to leave a note. I met Herb as I was serving as a Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ. He is and was an amazing man. He taught me more about Jesus Christ, then I could have ever taught him. He lived an example of faith, he loved his family and friends dearly, and was a like a grandfather to me. Especially since I didn't have a grandfather figure growing up, I am so grateful for Herb.

His legacy will live on with his children and grandchildren. Peace comes knowing that he is with his beloved Ruth. Our heart felt love to you all, Cousin...
