HERBERT JACOBY Obituary

JACOBY--Herbert P. A respected copyright attorney died on January 12, 2011. He was 97. Born in New York City to Phillip S. and Laura S. Jacoby. He was a graduate of Columbia College and Law School. He practiced law for over 70 years. Mr. Jacoby is survived by his wife of 65 years, Fay: and his children Peter, Carolyn Gabbay and Philip; grandchildren; Benjamin, Jonathan and Heather and his great-granddaughters Taylor and Mackenzie. Service Friday at Frank E. Campbell, 1076 Madison Avenue at 81st Street at 11:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Victor Herbert Foundation.

Mr Jacoby was instrumental in funding musicals in my high school. His benevolence, helped us put on some of the best performances my high school, Brooklyn Technical High School, has seen.
He was a great man, with a very big heart.
