To the Mandel family,
I knew Herb through Beth El Synagogue and he was always very nice to my family and me. I was so excited when he autographed his book; which I proudly display on the top shelf of my bookcase. May his memory be for a blessing.

Truth be known with 6 children he kept our family afloat in challenging times. he always had a good word for me and when I brought the kids to help me he and his wife were so very kind. When you meet someone like the Capt. it changes you because you see how a man could and should be. I have tried to emulate...

As a youngster growing up on Alewife cove Mr Mandel was a neighbor of our family. He was always a kind gentleman. Thoughts and prayers and may he rest in peace
