Not sure what to say?

I will always remember the inspirational talks we had at stehlis beach,,, thanks Buddy, till we talk again.....

I remember Buddy as a lifeguard in the '50s, when I was a kid on Wilson Lane, next door to Harry Winslow's house. Later, after I grew up in the '60s, I served under Buddy when he was Captain of the entire TOB North Shore crew. He brought many of us up through the lifeguard program that is successful to this day. I don't know about his work elsewhere, but on the beaches of Bayville, Seacliff and Oyster Bay (Sound-side) he left his mark that will endure long after we all join him wherever he is.

Mr Winslow was my elementary school gym teacher in the 70's. Always told me stories about the Brooklyn Dodgers. Still remember the gym show and that song he always played - Go you chicken fat go!

May he rest in peace
